1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using RiseWise, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you create an account for a child, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian and have authority to consent to the child’s use of RiseWise.
2. About RiseWise
RiseWise is a mobile learning app that teaches Bhagavad Gita lessons through short educational activities, quizzes, XP, streaks, badges, and leaderboard features. RiseWise is educational and is not a school, religious authority, counseling service, or substitute for parental guidance.
3. Parent-Managed Accounts
Children may not create their own accounts. A parent or legal guardian must create the account, provide accurate account information, give required parental consent, create and manage child profiles, supervise the child’s use of the app, and keep login credentials secure.
4. Child Profiles
A parent may create one or more child profiles. Parents should avoid using a child’s full legal name or other sensitive identifying information as a display name, especially because leaderboard information may be visible to authenticated users.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the app unlawfully, access another user’s account or child data, interfere with app security, reverse engineer or scrape the app except as allowed by law, enter harmful or unlawful content, or misrepresent your identity or parental authority.
6. Educational Content
RiseWise provides learning content based on Bhagavad Gita verses and related questions. We aim to provide accurate and respectful educational material, but we do not guarantee that all content will be error-free or suitable for every family’s beliefs, expectations, or interpretation.
7. XP, Streaks, Badges, and Leaderboards
XP, streaks, badges, and leaderboard rankings are provided for motivation and engagement. We may change, reset, correct, or remove these features if needed for fairness, security, bug fixes, or product changes.
8. Privacy and Child Data
Use of RiseWise is also governed by our Privacy Policy and COPPA Parental Notice. These documents explain how we collect, use, protect, and delete information.
9. Consent and Account Restrictions
If parental consent is not verified, is revoked, or must be renewed, we may restrict access to child features until the issue is resolved.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe there is misuse, security risk, legal risk, violation of these Terms, or unauthorized use. You may stop using the app at any time. Parents may request deletion of child data as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual Property
RiseWise, including its design, software, branding, and app experience, is owned by or licensed to the operator. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the app except as allowed by law or with written permission.
12. Third-Party Services
RiseWise may rely on third-party service providers for authentication, database hosting, app infrastructure, security, and support. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
13. Disclaimers
RiseWise is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RiseWise and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we may notify users or require renewed acceptance. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Ontario], unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
